Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how 100 Talks ("100Talks", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the 100Talks mobile application and the website 100talks.app (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect the information you provide, such as your email address, display name, your mother tongue, and the language you want to learn. This is the minimum needed to deliver your 100 translated conversations.
Usage information. We may collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the app is used — for example which conversations are played most — to improve the learning experience. This data does not identify you personally.
Device information. Standard technical data such as device type, operating system version, and app version may be collected automatically for compatibility and crash diagnostics.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account.
- To deliver the core service: translated conversations with native-speaker audio in your selected language pair.
- To maintain, improve, and secure the Services.
- To respond to your questions and support requests sent to [email protected].
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data storage and security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.
Third-party services
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those platforms may process data (such as download and crash statistics) under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of Apple and Google for details.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. You can also delete your account from within the app at any time, which removes your personal information from our active systems.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, personal information is removed from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where a longer retention period is required by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, contact us at [email protected].
